Artistic Endeavors

Acappella

I served as the President of Sigma'cappella, a co-ed a cappella group at Hofstra University, for two years in a row. During this time, I orchestrated all of our artistic endeavors. This includes the production of our 2021 and 2022 EPs, which can be found on any music streaming platform under Sigma'cappella. Both EPs were recorded in my basement despite COVID challenges. As you can imagine, the a cappella community took a huge hit during this time, but we were able to rehearse online and record in isolation in order to produce this amazing product!

Being a part of a collaborative musical group for four years shaped my leadership and communication skills greatly. 17 wonderful people voluntarily committed time to share in their love of music twice a week!

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to play part in such a supportive environment.

To the left are two of our ICCA competition submissions. In the top video, I sing the solo. In the bottom video, I contributed to the concept, choreography, and overall production.

Below is a song off our first EP in which I am singing the solo.

Cabaret Host

My good friend Michelle Pavloff and I hosted a weekly Cabaret throughout our senior year of college! Cabaret is a Hofstra tradition that brings our drama community together every week to share and appreciate each other's art. We have a wide range of performances from singers to sketch comedy to experimental theater and more.

As Cabaret host, my responsibilities include writing weekly cold open sketches, creating the schedule for the shows, facilitating the themes, and hosting the event each week.

To the right is an example of our sketch writing!

The Garden Film

I had the privilege of working on "The Garden" last summer. This film is an experimental movement piece that tells the story of Adam and Eve in a new light. The film was originally a theatre piece that was not able to happen due to COVID-19.

The cast consists of Hofstra alumni who were able to come together in 2021 and devote a whole week of time to this project. The experience was immersive and rewarding. I am truly proud to be a part of this amazing piece of work.
